Tuesday to Friday May 17 – 20, 2022 – Starting Training of Ava and More Adventures around the Island…

Much to tell during the course of this week.

Tuesday, May 17, 2022…

In the morning we went to Villa Pesquera Isabela. The weather conditions were good at least until noon. Then it would get windy (again).

Saying present were the pilots Ben Doyle and Luis Ruiz. The good weather opportunity was taken to carry out the Demo Flights for Stephanie Nicol, Jerlene Otero and Denzen. They arrived on the island the day before after vacationing abroad and immediately came to Live their flight experiences with us 💪.

Later in the morning and part of the afternoon, Luis Ruiz went to Parque del Norte in Hatillo, along with pilot and friend Ted Sowinski. There, Luis continued training the new student of the Team, Manolo Emanuelli. Some practices with the paragliding were carried out, although they were limited due to the strong wind that already were affecting the coast. Even so, both Luis and Ted made shorts flights along the coast. We will continue Manolo’s training in next days.

Wednesday, May 18, 2022…

We returned to Villa Pesquera Isabela and this time we have much better conditions to fly and practice.

Team Kamikazes family present were…

Ben Doyle and his wife Andrea
Samuel Travis and his girlfriend Michelle
Charles Riggs, his wife Andrea, and sons Evan and Ava (starting training)
Jose “Cheo” Roman
Ted Sowinsky
Luis Ruiz

Arriving to Live their Flight Experiences…

Luis La Torre and Lorena from Caguas
Robert from New Jersey, USA
Jennifer Figueroa from San Juan

Ben Doyle was assisting Luis Ruiz in carrying out the Demo Flights. While they were accompanied in the air by Charles, Evan, Samuel, Cheo and Ted. Definitely, a very active morning that was well used by the pilots who gathered.

Luis Ruiz officially began training Ava Riggs, daughter of Charles. She has very good skills with the control of the paragliding. We have no doubt that she will soon accompany Charles and Evan in the air. Even in the morning, there was a Demo Flight that Luis realized to Ava, where she was in charge of the controls. Soon we will show her progress as she gets closer to her first solo flight…💪

In the afternoon, Luis Ruiz revisited Pico de Piedra Beach in Aguada. He was practicing inflation of paragliders with his son Noah Enrique.

Also in the Beach of Loiza, the pilots Edgardo Rivera, Ray Malave and Omar Colon had their own story and adventure flying this part of the Island.

Luis Ruiz was making adjustments to one of his paramotors in the afternoon. He took advantage of the excellent flight conditions for the Pico de Piedra Beach in Aguada to make a Cross flight from Pico de Piedra to Rincón and later to Parque Colon in Aguadilla. The adjustments to the Paramotor equipment turned out very well (obviously) 😄.

Friday May 20, 2022

After several days of excellent conditions to fly. The weather was beginning to deteriorate again. We had to hurry if we wanted to fly in the morning.

The meeting point was Villa Pesquera Isabela. The pilots present were Cheo Román, Ben Doyle and his wife Andrea, and Luis Ruiz with his son Ian Darrell.

On this occasion we had scheduled flights for Karla Isaac, her sister Karla (I forgot her middle name), and her friends Pedro and Ricardo. Eventually, everyone had great experiences. Cheo was assisting Ben, Ian and Luis in carrying out the Flights.

In the case of Karla, the flight was a challenging one for Luis since Karla had some limitations in one of her legs. But her positive attitude led us to try the flight. And Luis, assisted by Cheo, managed to make Karla fly and she enjoy her experience to the fullest!!! 💪

Challenging Conditions for Karla & Karla!!!

Again in the afternoon, Luis went with his son Noah Enrique to Pico de Piedra Aguada. This time also accompanied by the pilot Ted Sowinski. And although we made short flights, but the conditions were already changing and not much could be done, other than practice.
