Day 05 of Puerto Rico Fly In …

Finally came the Saturday, and with him, the bulk of Team Kamikazes present in the activity.

For today, it was coordinated the realization of a “cross” flight that would leave from Luquillo or Ceiba in the East, with intermediate stop in Levittown or Barceloneta and final destination Isabela. Like 100 miles in distance. But the weather conditions did not allow it. Always safety first and there were risks mostly for novice pilots who wanted to make that flight.

In short, we returned to Rancho Grande Anasco, where besides having a full house of pilots and friends of the Kamikazes family. We had a BBQ, lots of food, drinks, and most of all a lot to share.

In Anasco, the pilots began to arrive early, but the wind did not finish crossing the West as expected. That wait was just over an hour, but it seemed an eternity for many who simply want to fly.

Around midday the wind finally changed from the West, and with that change all the pilots started to fly. Pablo and Eduardo were the first to launch, and they notified the group that they need to wait, since they felt that the air was very inconsistent upstairs. Half an hour later, with more stable winds, they left to fly, Deron, Omar, Gregory, Juan Carlos, Pablo, Eduardo, Ian Darrell, London, Ernest, Randy and Chey. As you imagine, that was an air traffic. It was delicate to turn near the take-off area since they all flew very close 😲.

On the other hand, Waldemar arrived. Ready to start his course, so Luis, instead of flying, was giving training to Waldemar who was working for a while the training paraglider BGD Seed. There were pending flights but the weather today did not give for much.

At around 3 PM, the wind started to get irregular again. So the pilots went down revolutions and stayed in the area rather sharing and having a good time between drinks and food. The girls Kamikazes, Jessica, Elba and Miriam, along with Pablo were giving hard to the preparation of hamburgers and skewers, and that everyone was comfortable. Waldemar also contributed with some assortments, and several more contributed with drinks 😜…

The younger kids Michael and Noah practiced inflation with the paragliding while they were watched by the majority. At the end of the afternoon the weather got good and Berto wanted to fly. This was assisted by several pilots but in the end it could not take off and between good times we finished the activity.

We thank specially God, and all those who took time to share with us and contributed their bit to make everything a success.

Now to prepare for tomorrow, the last day of flight of international pilots. Thank you.💪💪
