In the morning Luis Ruiz met with Ted Sowinski with the idea of flying in Boquerón, Cabo Rojo. Luis had special motivations. Fly all the way from Boqueron to Guanica… Where the National Guard and some refugees gathered from the earthquakes that affect the southern area these weeks.
To make this flight from Boquerón, a good climate was needed. Take off early to fly and travel about 16 to 18 miles straight to get there.
Luis and Ted managed to launch early. Already at 7 AM both were in the air. Luis was flying 40 minutes in the direction of Guanica when he finally reached the Bay. Once there, he found some turbulence and little space between mountain to fly, so his stay in the area did not last long.
After an hour and a half Luis was back in Boqueron with Ted. Both enjoyed this flight very much, especially when in other parts of the island the conditions have not been good for flying.
