Finally, after several months with hard weather, finally, we had a great day. Light winds were the norm to fully enjoy our flying sport. We meet again from the early hours of the day in Villa Pesquera Isabela. Little by little, pilots and friends arrived from all over the island.

Pablo Cruz and his wife Millie
Luis Ruiz, his wife Jessica and children Ian Darrell (with his girlfriend Paola) and Noah Enrique
Ricardo González and his wife Ermelinda
Edgardo Rivera and his wife Wilnelia
Alberto Sabah and his wife Mercedes
Iván Torres and his wife Pam
Omar Colon and family
Noel Vale and his wife Tata
Hermes Ferrer, his wife Neisha and daughter Katelyn
Sammy Badillo
Jose Luis Hernandez

As we mentioned the winds were with a gentle intensity. 5 mph winds were the norm in the morning. This was very good to enjoy the flight, but, as a pilot, you had to earn your fly by running more than usual to be able to take off 😎. The student José L. Hernández, took the opportunity to practice his Front Launch technique. After some practice, he managed to make some good inflation and run. He used the always reliable Apco Thrust.

Some pilots had to go flying using the Front Launch Technique. This was the case with Noel and Ian. While Omar, Pablo, Alberto and Sammy managed to made a Reverse Launch with a good race in their takeoffs, they flew without major problems. In the case of Ricardo and Edgardo, they couldn’t get out in those conditions and kept on ground practicing their skills for upcoming low-wind conditions 💪.

In Omar‘s case, he had been waiting for such a climate for weeks. The idea was to try to fly to the Cave “Las Golondrinas” located on the cliff of the Royal Isabela Golf course. And once there, land on the sand in front of the Cave. Omar not only managed to perform this feat but also managed to record it while executing his approach and landing. Definitely one of the best videos of the year that we share below. Congratulations 💪💪💪!!!

Meanwhile, Luis and his son Ian Darrell, were in the morning, making some Demo flights of people interested in getting into the sport, or at least feeling the pleasure of flying. This was the case of Maribel, who took her son Guillermo Matos from Utuado, Ana Cancel, who traveled with her entire family from Bayamon, and Griselle and her family who traveled from Trujillo Alto. They all went to enjoy the experience of flying, and each and every one of them left with a big smile for their experiences. And that’s what it’s all about, thank goodness ❤️.

After Party…

At around 12:30 PM, we started putting away our equipment. And it is that for months, we had scheduled a party of Team Kamikazes at Alberto and Mercedes’ house, which is located in Isabela. We were going to celebrate the official party for the marriage of Pablo and Millie that happened about a month ago. We were at the party until late at night and having a great time with the Team Kamikazes family.

Today is one of those days, when there are no words to describe all the positive experiences lived, both on flights and in family activities. So we better leave some videos and photos that best describe what happened in the day.

As always we thank God for the opportunities that He allows us to live. Blessings ❤️ !!!
