We continue strong and very active in 2022. This next two days we were in Villa Pesquera Isabela. The weather was pretty good. At least in the morning hours. And here are the stories that deserve to be remembered 💪…
Monday, January 3 …
The weather was pretty good in the morning and windy in the afternoon.
Pilots present in the morning were, Edgardo Rivera, Darwin Hernández, Saleh Jacob, Luis Ruiz, his son Ian Darrell, David Garber and his wife Amara.
Edgardo and Darwin, continue their practices and flights in all kinds of conditions. These days we are coordinating their advanced pilot training. We will keep you updates about their progress… Also taking training were the student Saleh Jacob, showing progress…
We had the visit from Pepe Montes and his son José. Pepe is a long time friend of Luis Ruiz. Also, we received the visit of Keith and Kathy who came from Canóvanas. All of them ready to Live their Experiences in the paramotor flight. David and Ian were in charge of the flights, which were performed with excellence. Each and every one of them was having a great time and promising to return.
Here are some videos taken from the activity that should be remember…
Tuesday, January 04 … (The Cross Fly of Darwin!)
Again we returned to Isabela, and again we were only able to fly in the morning hours. Present were Darwin Hernández, Edgardo Rivera, David Garber, Luis Ruiz and their son Ian Darrell. This time there were no Demo flights, and we kept making close flights off the coast of Isabela.
But this did not include Darwin … it turns out that by the time we started arriving at the activity at around 8:15 AM, Darwin had already taken off to fly and couldn’t be seen around. Initially we thought that as usual, he had flown into Isabela Mall in the interior. But after about an hour, we already knew that he had gone for a cross country fly in direction of Hatillo …
But the story did not stop there …, it turns out that this time, Darwin had taken off with an extra tank of gasoline aboard his Paramotor. After arrive at Parque del Norte In Hatillo, he left the gas tank there and continued his flight in the direction of the Statue of Colon that places among the towns of Arecibo and Barceloneta. All this flying upwind, and at sometimes fighting with heavy winds in some spots of the route. When he got there, he was assisted (with gasoline to refill) by Edgardo and his wife Wilnelia who were arriving at the place while communicating with Darwin by phone . Once he refilled gasoline, Edgardo decided to join him in the fly back to Isabela. Wilnelia escort them by car in the route. Once they arrived to Isabela, were joined by Ian, Luis and David in the Isabela airs.
In the afternoon the wind increased the intensity again, and we finished the activity. Ready for tomorrow plans 💪🙏…
