Sunday, October 24, 2021 – Villa Pesquera Isabela – BBQ Time!!!

Day of celebration and having a good time with the great family of Team Kamikazes. We met in what is already traditional on Sundays. Isabela Fishing Village. This time we had organized to prepare a BBQ, with food and drinks for everyone present.

The morning started very active with pilots looking to fly. Unfortunately the winds were strong. In fact, much stronger than predicted. Only Samuel Travis and Luis Ruiz doing some Demo flights went out to fly. This was a good opportunity for some pilots to spend a little time practicing inflation with the paragliders on the spot.

Luis Ruiz made the Demo flights of Jorge and Annette, who traveled from Yabucoa and Miguel Castro from Las Piedras, the three managed to Live their flight experiences in the Paramotor, and were very happy with their experiences. In Miguel’s case, he has a tourism page called “Dominguiando en PR” in which he was promoting us. The pilots, Hermes, Mario, Ricardo, Cheo and Edgardo were assisting Luis in carrying out these flights in this intensity winds 💪.

Once the Demo flights were completed, the BBQ started and everyone was enjoying the food that was prepare. In other hand, Mario received from Luis his new harness for practicing and even fly., He and José Román were the first to go to practice. Both are quite ready for their “solo” flights … Stay Tuned…

Samuel Travis for his part went flying, while his brother Adam was enjoying the sun and sand accompanied by Dave Hargett, Marieli and Luna. They settled into a corner of the beach that has a natural Jacuzzi, and spent the afternoon there. Gabriel and Arlene did something similar, while the bulk of the group settled in the tents and enjoyed food and drinks.

Ray Malave, a new student, came and joined the practices, and for his second day of training, he had already mastered the inflation of the paraglider for several minutes and in strong winds. His ability is very remarkable 💪 .

Berto García arrived with his 11-year-old son Michael. Michael is ready for his first “solo” flight in the Paramotor and we are working on this. In fact, if he can do the Paramotor fly, he will be the youngest pilot in history to do so. We will keep you informed.

At one point during the day, the winds finally dropped in intensity and we took advantage, with Pablo at the controls, we put Michael in the air by the “Towing” method. At one point he was over 50 ft in height. Then we took Michael to test how it fit and hold the ultra-light 36-pound SkyMax Expedition EOS 100 Paramotor… and Michael was able to hold it without any major problem. We understand that we are ready. Stay Tuned…

Meanwhile, the youngest kids, Noah, Betuel and Caleb were practicing with mini paragliders of 2.5 meters. Everyone enjoying it to the fullest. These are the next generation of pilots just beginning to train 🙂.

With the wind at a lower intensity than in the morning, several pilots went out to fly. In addition to Samuel and Luis, Omar, Edgardo, Sammy and Ariel also appeared and took off. All going well despite the 15 mph wind at the venue. Gabriel, Ricardo and Berto were waiting to leave when the intensity of the winds pick up again and we finished the fly activities.

We ended the day in a great sharing, each and every one of those present having a good time and that is what it is all about. We are blessed, we have already started planning the next one… Thank God 🙏.
